Petite Anse runs along the windward side of Petit St. Vincent, a continuous arc of bright white coral sand backed by sea-grape and palm. The water is the milky turquoise of the Grenadines at their best, shallow for thirty metres out before deepening into reef. Because the entire island is one resort, the beach is effectively private — even in high season you may walk a kilometre without crossing another set of footprints.
The reef offshore is in good condition and snorkelling is the obvious activity, with parrotfish, sergeant majors, and the occasional turtle in the lagoon. The leeward beaches of the island are smaller and rockier but better protected from the easterly wind, which can pick up strongly in the afternoons.
