Getting There

St Vincent is served by Argyle International Airport (SVD), opened in 2017 on the southeast coast and replacing the old short-runway airport at Arnos Vale. Direct flights run from Miami, New York (JFK), Toronto, and London (via Gatwick on seasonal Virgin Atlantic routes). Regional carriers — Caribbean Airlines, InterCaribbean — connect through Barbados, Trinidad, Antigua and Grenada, which is usually the cheaper option from Europe.

There is no direct ferry from neighbouring islands, but inter-island ferries from Kingstown serve the Grenadines daily: the Bequia Express does Kingstown–Bequia in about an hour, and the Admiral runs further south through Canouan, Mayreau and Union Island a few times a week. The new airport is about 30 minutes by taxi from Kingstown; agree the fare before getting in.
