Nine miles of nature trails wind through the interior of Pine Cay, passing through casuarina pine forest, tidal ponds, and low scrub. The island is a nesting site for several species of seabird and a regular stopping point for migratory birds. Flamingos occasionally make their way over from North Caicos, feeding in the shallow tidal flats on the island's western end.
Bicycles are available from the Meridian Club and are the best way to cover the trails. The whole island can be circled in an hour, but birders will want to linger at the pond edges in the early morning when activity is highest.
