A small park on the west side of the city, looking out over Cook Inlet from the rim of the 1964 earthquake landslide. Interpretive panels along the short trails explain what happened — 75 houses destroyed in minutes, the bluff resettling thirty feet lower. The forest that has grown up since hides much of the ground deformation, but the path follows the cracked terraces and you can still see where the land split.
It is also one of the better spots in the city for plane-spotting at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport just to the south, and for views of Denali on clear days. Free, open year-round. The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail passes through.
