The Bake Shop has been at the base of the lifts since 1979 and is the unofficial morning meeting point of the entire valley. The sourdough is the headline — pulled out of the oven through the morning in great country loaves — but the cinnamon rolls are the size of a dinner plate and the soup of the day is genuinely good.
It is a cafeteria-style counter operation, communal tables, no airs at all. Coffee, pastry, a bowl of soup, and you are ready to ski.
