Getting There

Wrangell has no road connection to the outside world. You arrive by the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system or by air. Alaska Airlines and small regional carriers serve Wrangell Airport, with connections through Ketchikan, Juneau, and Seattle. The ferry is the most atmospheric option and allows you to bring a vehicle if needed; the route through the Inside Passage is one of the great scenic ferry journeys in North America. Ketchikan is the nearest major hub, roughly two to three hours south by fast ferry.
