Getting Around

A car is essential in Arizona — the distances between attractions are vast and public transport outside Phoenix is minimal. Interstate 10 connects Tucson and Phoenix; I-40 runs the old Route 66 corridor east-west through Flagstaff. For the Grand Canyon, most visitors approach the South Rim via Route 64 from Williams or Cameron. The North Rim is a long haul from anywhere.
