Arizona's scale works in your favour — the state is enormous and most of its best attractions are spread far enough apart that you can't really rush them. The Grand Canyon is the obvious centrepiece, but the national monuments, cliff dwellings, and desert parks that fill the rest of the state are worth as much of your time as you can give them.
