The Grand Canyon Skywalk is the headline sight at Grand Canyon West, on Hualapai tribal land rather than inside the national park’s South Rim. The glass horseshoe projects out over the canyon wall, turning the view into a deliberate test of nerves: river-carved space below, desert cliffs ahead, and very little between your shoes and the drop.
It is not the classic national park canyon experience, and travelers should understand the distance and ticket structure before setting out. Come for the engineered spectacle and the West Rim viewpoints, not for quiet hiking or the historic lodges of Grand Canyon Village.
