Supai is the Havasupai village deep inside a side canyon of the Grand Canyon, best known to travelers as the gateway to Havasu Falls and the chain of blue-green waterfalls below it. The water gets its color from dissolved minerals, and the contrast with red canyon walls is as startling in person as in photographs.
This is not a casual viewpoint. You need a permit, reservations are tightly controlled, and the approach is a long descent from Hualapai Hilltop before you even reach the village. For prepared hikers, though, it is one of the most memorable overnight trips in the Grand Canyon region.
