Getting There

Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR), also called Bob Hope Airport, is three miles northwest of downtown and one of the most convenient airports for central Los Angeles. It handles Alaska, Southwest, and United flights to destinations across the US and is dramatically less chaotic than LAX. The airport connects to downtown Burbank and the Metrolink rail line.

From downtown Los Angeles, Burbank is about 12 miles north on the 5 or 170 freeways. The drive takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on traffic. The LA Metro Red Line (subway) connects from downtown LA to North Hollywood, where you can transfer to the Burbank bus or an Uber for the last few miles. The Metrolink commuter rail serves the Burbank–Bob Hope Airport station with connections to Union Station downtown.
