Nitt Witt Ridge is Cambria's strange homemade castle, built over decades by Arthur "Art" Beal from stone, abalone shells, beer cans, tile, car parts, and other salvaged material. It is California Historical Landmark No. 939, recognised as one of the state's 20th-century folk-art environments.
The property is no longer open for regular tours, but the front facade can still be seen from the road. It is a short stop, not a full attraction, but it gives Cambria a memorable streak of eccentricity.
