Getting There

Coronado sits across San Diego Bay from downtown, connected by two very different options.

By ferry is the better choice. The Coronado Ferry runs between the Broadway Pier (at the foot of Broadway, downtown San Diego) and the Coronado Ferry Landing roughly every hour. The crossing takes about fifteen minutes and costs a few dollars each way — bikes are welcome. It is the most pleasant way to arrive, with the Coronado Bridge and the downtown skyline behind you as you cross.

By car means crossing the San Diego–Coronado Bridge, which curves spectacularly across the bay. From downtown San Diego take State Route 75 south; the bridge is well signposted. Parking in Coronado is generally easier than in central San Diego, though the streets near the hotel fill up on summer weekends.

San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the nearest airport, about 4 miles from downtown San Diego and roughly 20 minutes by car or taxi from Coronado.
