San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park

San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic Park preserves the site of one of the bloodiest California battles of the Mexican-American War, fought on December 6, 1846. The visitor center explains the battle and the wider San Pasqual Valley setting through displays and interpretation.

It pairs naturally with the nearby San Diego Archaeological Center or the Safari Park if you are already east of Escondido.
