Getting Around

A car is essentially required outside of Old Town. The wine country is a five-mile stretch with no sidewalks and no usable public transit; uber and Lyft work but cost adds up, so most visitors arrange a winery shuttle or a private driver.

Within Old Town itself, everything is walkable in two or three blocks. Free public parking lots ring the district; lots fill on summer Saturday nights but there are usually spaces a few blocks east.
