Vista Hermosa Natural Park

Vista Hermosa Natural Park is a small hillside park just west of Downtown Los Angeles, with native planting, short walking paths, picnic lawns, and one of the classic skyline views back toward the towers of Bunker Hill. It feels calmer than its location suggests, partly because the paths fold into the slope instead of sitting beside traffic.

It is a good short stop if you are moving between Echo Park, Angelino Heights, and Downtown. The park is especially pleasant near sunset, when the light hits the skyline and the San Gabriel Mountains beyond it.
