Mountain View has one of the best dining scenes of any Silicon Valley suburb, largely because Castro Street draws a working crowd with money and an appetite for variety. Vietnamese, Indian, Mexican, Japanese, and Peruvian restaurants jostle for space within a few blocks. The city has a strong Vietnamese-American community, and the pho and bánh mì on offer are as good as anything in San Jose's Little Saigon.
