Getting There

Sebastopol sits in Sonoma County, about 55 miles north of San Francisco. By car, take US-101 north across the Golden Gate Bridge, continue through Marin and into Sonoma County, and exit at Rohnert Park or Cotati to pick up Highway 116 west, which runs directly into Sebastopol. The drive takes about an hour in normal traffic; allow 90 minutes if you're travelling on a Friday afternoon.

Sonoma County Airport (STS) at Santa Rosa is about 20 minutes north of Sebastopol and has direct flights from several West Coast cities including Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, and Seattle. There is no practical public transit connection between Sebastopol and the Bay Area, so a car is essential. Once in Sebastopol, the town itself is walkable, but visiting California Carnivores, the Burbank Farm, or the Amiot art requires a car to connect the dots.
