Ragle Ranch Regional Park

Ragle Ranch is the main public green space in the Sebastopol area, a county regional park of around 160 acres northwest of town. The park has playing fields, a disc golf course, and a network of gentle trails through mixed woodland and open grassland, with seasonal wetlands that attract shorebirds and raptors in winter. It's not dramatic hiking — the terrain is flat to gently rolling — but it's a pleasant place for a morning walk or a family afternoon without driving to the coast.

The park is popular with dog walkers and families on weekends. The trails are mostly unpaved and can be muddy in wet weather; the playing fields and picnic areas are always accessible. In spring the grassland section has good wildflowers. Ragle Ranch also hosts the Sebastopol Farmers Market on Sundays, one of the better small-town markets in Sonoma County — worth timing your visit around if you're in the area on a weekend morning.
