Getting There

The Metro A Line (Gold Line) connects Pasadena to downtown Los Angeles in about 45 minutes with frequent service. The Memorial Park station is in the heart of Old Town Pasadena; Sierra Madre Villa station serves the eastern part of the city near Caltech. The train is the most reliable way to avoid the parking difficulties in Old Town.

By car, Pasadena is on the 210 Freeway (Foothill Freeway) and the 110 (Arroyo Seco Parkway). Parking in Old Town is in city-owned structures — more expensive on weekends but usually available. The Huntington Library has its own parking. JPL and Caltech also have parking, though JPL requires advance reservation for visitors.
