Land's End Beach

Rugged coastal trail with Golden Gate views

Land's End Beach is more about the hike than the beach itself. The sand is minimal (especially at high tide), replaced by pebbles and driftwood. But the coastal trail along the rugged bluffs offers spectacular views of the Marin Headlands and the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. A meditation labyrinth on one of the bluffs above the beach is a pleasant surprise.

To reach Land's End, take Muni bus #38 to Point Lobos, walk downhill to the parking lot, and follow the trailhead to the beach.
