Bimbo's 365 Club has been a North Beach institution since 1931, and walking through the door feels like stepping into a bygone era of supper clubs and cocktail glamour. The room is gorgeous -- red velvet, dim lighting, a real stage, and a proper bar. It hosts live music most nights, with bookings that range from indie rock to jazz to legacy acts.
The club holds about 600 for standing shows and 475 for seated dinners. It is still owned by the Giuntoli family, who have run it for three generations. One of the best small venues in the city.
