Mt. Davidson Park

Mt. Davidson Park protects the highest natural point in San Francisco, a wooded hill in the middle of a quiet residential area. The short climb leads through eucalyptus and cypress to broad views over downtown, the bay, and the western neighborhoods.

The summit is marked by a large concrete cross built in the 1930s and later dedicated as a memorial to the Armenian Genocide. It is less crowded than Twin Peaks and better for a short neighborhood hike than a drive-up viewpoint.
