Probably the best mixed gay bar in the city. At the head of the Castro on Market Street, The Cafe draws a crowd every day of the week, with a very low cover charge on weekends. The outdoor deck and balcony make it smoker-friendly and offer great people-watching perches for street events. Weeknights are more casual and open; weekends are packed and fun.
