Levi's Stadium

Levi's Stadium, opened in 2014, is the home of the San Francisco 49ers and one of the most modern NFL venues in the country. Despite the San Francisco name, the 49ers have played in Santa Clara since 2014, and the stadium has become one of the city's defining features — its presence explains a lot about the hotels, restaurants, and traffic patterns around north Santa Clara. On game days (September through January) the area transforms; on other days it is a quiet business park with an enormous stadium attached.

The stadium also hosts major concerts, college bowl games, and international soccer matches, including several matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. For non-game days, stadium tours run regularly and give access to the field, the press box, and the luxury suites. Parking around the stadium is limited and expensive on event days — the VTA light rail from downtown San Jose is the practical option.
