Greenhorn Park gives Yreka its easiest outdoor break. The park wraps around a reservoir, with walking, running, and biking routes that are more satisfying than a quick roadside picnic.
It is a good place to reset after the museum or a long drive. The trails climb enough to open views over town and toward the wider Shasta Valley, reminding you that Yreka is more mountain-edge than valley town.
