Yreka Carnegie Library

Early twentieth-century Carnegie library building near Yreka's historic downtown.

The Yreka Carnegie Library is a small architectural stop near the historic core. It is less important than West Miner Street or the county museum, but it adds another civic landmark to a short downtown walk.

Use it as part of the circuit rather than a destination by itself. Yreka's charm is cumulative: courthouse, library, storefronts, and museum together tell the story better than any one building does alone.
