Azura Cellars is a boutique winery and art gallery on Farmers Mine Road, just north of Paonia. The tasting room is small, but the setting is the point: vines, orchards and open valley views rather than an urban bar dressed up as a winery.
It makes a good pairing with Stone Cottage Cellars if you are spending an afternoon tasting around the West Elks AVA. Check seasonal hours before driving out; most Paonia-area wineries keep a shorter calendar than the bigger wine regions.
