Getting There

Danbury is about 50 miles northeast of New York City and is connected to the city by the Danbury Branch of Metro-North Railroad, running from Grand Central Terminal via South Norwalk and Bethel. The journey from Grand Central takes around 90 minutes. The Danbury station is in the center of town next to the Railway Museum.

By car, Danbury is reached via Interstate 84 from Hartford to the east or from the New York state line to the west. The drive from Manhattan takes around 75 minutes without traffic; from Hartford around 45 minutes. The Danbury Fair Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in New England, sits just off I-84 at exit 5. Bradley International Airport (Hartford) and Westchester County Airport (White Plains, NY) are the nearest major airports.
