Eating Out

Middletown has a good range of restaurants for its size, driven by the Wesleyan student population and an influx of people who moved here when Hartford and New Haven became too expensive. Main Street has the highest concentration: Thai, Vietnamese, and Mexican restaurants alongside American standards. Prices are lower than in either of the larger Connecticut cities. The downtown area is walkable, so restaurant-hopping between establishments is easy.
