Wadsworth Mansion

Beaux-Arts country house at Long Hill Estate with lawns, trails, and occasional public events.

Wadsworth Mansion is Middletown's grandest country-house survivor, a Beaux-Arts estate built for the Wadsworth family at Long Hill. The house is now mainly used for events, but the architecture, broad lawns, and surrounding parkland still make it worth knowing about.

Public access depends on events and open-house dates, so check before expecting an interior visit. Even when the mansion itself is closed, the Long Hill grounds can work as an elegant short walk on the edge of town.
