Getting There

New London is on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and the Shore Line East commuter rail service, making it easy to reach from New York (about 2.5 hours) or Boston (about 2 hours). The train station, New London Union Station, is a handsome 1887 building right in the downtown, steps from the waterfront. The Cross Sound Ferry operates car and passenger ferries to Orient Point on Long Island. By car, New London is at the junction of I-95 and Route 32, and the city is about two hours from both New York City and Boston.
