Agave is the Mexican place on Second Street that everyone in Lewes has an opinion about — almost all of them positive. The cooking is more regional Mexican than Tex-Mex: mole poblano, cochinita pibil, tinga, and house-made guacamole. The dining room is tiny and the queue at peak times can be considerable; the restaurant does not take reservations and the policy has held for years.
The margaritas are reliably strong. Go on a weeknight, eat at the bar, and have the mole.
