Lewes, fifteen minutes north, is a colonial town with a ferry connection to Cape May, New Jersey, and much of Cape Henlopen State Park falls between the two towns. The Junction and Breakwater Trail connects Rehoboth to Lewes by bike.
Dewey Beach is immediately to the south and easily walkable or cycleable from Rehoboth. It operates on a different register — younger, louder, more party-oriented — and provides a useful contrast.
