When to Go

December through April is peak season in Boynton Beach — warm, dry, and sunny, with daily highs around 24–27°C and almost no rain. This is when the snowbirds arrive from the northeast, prices rise, and the diving is at its best (clearest water, best visibility). Book accommodation well in advance if you're coming in January or February.

May through September is hot and humid, with afternoon thunderstorms almost daily during July and August. The crowds thin and prices drop. Diving is still good — water temperatures peak around 30°C — but sea conditions can be rougher. Hurricane season runs June through November; serious storms are rare this far north but not unheard of.

October and November are often the most pleasant months: heat eases, rain drops off, and the crowds haven't yet arrived. The reef is in excellent condition after the warm summer and whale shark sightings occasionally occur in the blue water just offshore during October.
