Jimmy's Crow's Nest occupies the rooftop of the Pier House 60 Marina Hotel, ten stories above Clearwater Beach. The 360-degree views take in the Gulf, Clearwater Harbor, the marina below, and the causeway bridge to the mainland. It is the best sunset perch on the beach, and locals know it — the deck gets crowded on clear evenings.
The drink menu runs to tropical cocktails and a reasonable selection of craft beers. The food is serviceable bar fare: fish tacos, wings, and burgers. Come for the view, not the kitchen. The elevator ride up from the hotel lobby is free and open to the public, but seating is first-come, first-served. Arriving an hour before sunset is the smart move if you want a railing seat.
