The nearest major airport is Tampa International Airport (TPA), about 25 miles east of Clearwater Beach. It is well-served by domestic carriers and has direct flights from most major U.S. cities. The drive from TPA to Clearwater Beach takes 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) is closer — about 10 miles from the beach — and handles budget carriers including Allegiant Air and Sun Country.
From Tampa, take the Courtney Campbell Causeway (SR 60) west across Tampa Bay directly into Clearwater. From St. Petersburg, head north on US-19 or I-275. Amtrak does not currently serve Clearwater directly, though the city had a station on the former CSX line. Greyhound buses stop in Clearwater and connect to Tampa and St. Petersburg.
