Delray's public beach runs about two miles along A1A from George Bush Boulevard south to Casuarina Road, with metered parking, lifeguard stands, restrooms, and showers. The sand is wide and soft, and the water is reliably swimmable. Surfing is mediocre but adequate when there's a winter swell. Snorkellers should head to the Delray Wreck just offshore.
