Sun n' Fun is Lakeland's big aviation event, a fly-in and airshow that draws pilots, aircraft builders, and aviation fans from across the United States. During the main spring event, the airport becomes a temporary city of vintage planes, experimental aircraft, workshops, and aerial displays.
It is highly seasonal, but when it is on, it is one of the strongest reasons to visit Lakeland. Book accommodation early, protect yourself from the Florida sun, and check the daily airshow schedule before choosing a day.
