Coldwater Creek is a quieter paddling route that eventually joins the Blackwater River northeast of Milton. The water is shallow, clear, and sandy-bottomed, with pine forest close to the banks.
Water levels matter here. In dry spells you may have to drag or wade through sandbars; after heavy rain, the creek can rise fast.
