Wall Springs Park

Wall Springs Park is Palm Harbor's best local park, with boardwalks over spring-fed water, tidal wetlands, observation decks, and shaded walking paths. It is compact, easy, and good for birding, especially in the cooler morning hours.

The park connects to the Pinellas Trail, so it works well as a cycling stop between Dunedin and Tarpon Springs. Bring binoculars if you have them; herons, egrets, ospreys, and mullet are common around the water.

A story
The park grew around a mineral spring that once fed a private spa and swimming area. The spring itself is now protected rather than used for bathing, which makes the boardwalk feel more like a reclaimed piece of old Florida than a resort relic.
