Dining in Hiawassee is more varied than you'd expect for such a small mountain town. Downtown has a handful of local restaurants and cafes, and the Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge has several dining options with lake views.
Michaelee's Chocolate Caffe on Main Street is deceptively fancy for its name — a proper sit-down restaurant serving salads, paninis, pasta, seafood, and more. Good for a casual lunch or a quieter dinner. Reservations recommended at weekends.
The Ridges Resort: The Oaks offers the best views in town alongside Lake Chatuge. A mix of steaks, seafood, lamb, and local produce. Dinner reservations recommended Tuesday–Saturday; Sunday brunch buffet 11am–2:30pm.
Mamasu's Brick Oven Pizza, near the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, is the casual option — wood-fired pizza, pasta, and beer. Open daily.
