Boise has a lively bar scene concentrated around 8th Street and the downtown core. The craft beer movement arrived early and stuck — there are more than a dozen breweries within the city, several of them worth a deliberate visit. The coffee scene is similarly strong, with a cluster of independent roasters competing with the local chains.
