Indian Creek Nature Center is Cedar Rapids' best easy nature stop, with trails through prairie, woodland, and wetland habitats. The centre focuses on environmental education, but casual visitors can simply come for a walk.
It is a good counterbalance to the city's Czech Village and museum sights. Go when you want fresh air, birds, and a clearer sense of eastern Iowa's restored landscapes.
