A generously sized city park on the south edge of Winterset, with picnic shelters, a playground, a small swimming pool, and two of the county's most-photographed sights: the Cutler-Donahoe covered bridge (relocated here in 1970) and Clark Tower, a 25-foot limestone monument on a wooded ridge with views over the Middle River valley.
The drive up to the tower winds through hardwoods and is one of the prettiest stretches of road in the county, especially in October when the oaks turn copper.
