Abilene's restaurant scene is small and unfussy: a few well-loved local diners and the occasional barbecue or steakhouse. Most travellers passing through end up at the Brookville Hotel for fried chicken or grabbing breakfast at a downtown cafe before heading to the Eisenhower complex.
