Getting There

Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) is the largest airport in Kansas, with direct flights to most major US hubs. American, Southwest, Delta, and United all operate routes here. The airport is about seven miles from downtown, a straightforward drive or taxi ride.

By car, Wichita sits at the junction of Interstate 35 (north-south, connecting Kansas City to Oklahoma City) and Interstate 135 (to Salina and connecting to I-70 east to west). These make Wichita a logical stop on a Great Plains road trip. Greyhound bus service connects to Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and other regional centres, though the schedules are limited compared to the major coasts.
