Barataria Preserve is part of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, with trails and raised boardwalks through forest, bayou, swamp, and wetland. It is one of the easiest ways to see south Louisiana wildlife and wetland landscapes on a half-day trip from New Orleans.
