Horseshoe Bossier City is the largest of the riverboat casinos lined up along the Red River. The complex includes a 26-storey hotel tower — for many years the tallest building in the Shreveport–Bossier area — and Louisiana's largest casino floor by gaming positions.
Gambling is the obvious draw, but the property also runs concerts in its 1,000-seat Riverdome, a steakhouse, a buffet that locals genuinely defend, and a high-stakes poker room that brings in serious players from Texas. The riverboat itself is permanently docked, which removes the cruise theatre but lets the place operate like any large Vegas-style resort.
