Bangor International Airport (BGR) is one of the most useful airports in Maine, with connections to Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. By car from Portland it's about 2.5 hours north on I-95, and from Boston around 4 hours. Concord Coach Lines runs daily bus service from Boston's South Station and Logan Airport, stopping at the Bangor Transportation Center on Main Street. By Amtrak, the closest station is Portland — from there you'd need to continue by bus or rental car.
